Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando Area has launched its fundraising effort for “National Women Build Week,” a volunteer-driven event designed to empower women to take action against poverty-level housing conditions. Habitat Orlando’s goal is to complement volunteer efforts by raising $100,000 – the cost to sponsor one Habitat home.
On Saturday, April 23rd from 2 to 6 p.m., Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida will host its inaugural Wine Women & Shoes fundraising event at the Royal Plaza, located at 1905 Hotel Plaza Blvd in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
On Thursday, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando Area dedicated five homes to local families. The homes are located in Habitat Orlando’s Stag Horn Villas townhome community – the affiliate’s first multifamily community.
