The Center for Independent Living (CIL) – a Winter Park nonprofit that offers support and services to people with disabilities – recently kicked off their annual Stroll & Roll event on the same day as the 21st anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Because of the ADA, many people with disabilities can overcome challenges every day.
From now until November, CIL’s clients and advocates will be fundraising to support the nonprofit’s programs – communication/education for the deaf, housing counseling, accessibility, employment services, mental health counseling and aging services.
