Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs’ Prescription Drug Task Force will hold its first meeting on Tuesday July 19, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. at the Orange County Administration Center, Board of County Commission Chambers, 1st Floor, 201 S. Rosalind Ave., Orlando, Florida 32801.
The Prescription Drug Taskforce is an 18-member board chaired by former Orange County Mayor Richard T. Crotty and co-chaired by Dr. George Ralls, Orange County Health Services Director. The task force is charged with addressing the serious issue of prescription drug abuse in our community through law enforcement, healthcare and pharmacies, prevention, education and public policy.
Mayor Teresa Jacobs will address the task force to kick off the first meeting. As with all Prescription Drug Task Force meetings, members of the public are encouraged to attend and time will be set aside for public comment.
