Rick Scott endorsed Senate raceSenator Ashley Moody is a fifth-generation Floridian, former judge and Florida Attorney General, and current U.S. Senator, appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis.

“I’m excited to officially announce my endorsement of my good friend and fellow Floridian Ashley Moody,” Senator Rick Scott said. “She’s a strong leader who’s already bringing her battle-tested conservative record to the U.S. Senate.”

The Florida Republicans said they are working together to get President Donald Trump’s agenda “through the D.C. swamp.”

“We’ll continue working to put America First and support our President as we Make America Great Again,” Republican Senator Ashley Moody said in the announcement video where Senator Rick Scott endorsed her for Senate.

As U.S. Senator, Ashley Moody said her mission to uphold conservative values, strengthen national security, and fight for Floridians. She is key supporter of President Donald Trump’s agenda and remains dedicated to America First policies that promote law and order, economic prosperity, and American sovereignty.

The 2026 U.S. Senate special election is being held to serve out the remainder of Marco Rubio’s term, and it will once again be on the ballot in 2028. On January 21, 2025, Ashley Moody was sworn into the U.S. Senate after being appointed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as the initial replacement.

After serving as a judge for over a decade, Moody was elected as Florida’s 38th Attorney General and earned national recognition for her leadership as she championed policies to enhance public safety, strengthen law enforcement, and crack down on violent crime. Her campaign says that throughout her tenure as Attorney General, she earned a reputation as a fierce leader in the fight against unelected bureaucrats in Washington who sought to undermine Florida’s policies. She has also been a national leader in protecting religious freedom and the sanctity of life. In 2006, Ashley Moody made history as the youngest judge in Florida when she was elected to serve on the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court in Hillsborough County at just 31 years old.

This will likely be a targeted race for Democrats and other Republicans, who may challenge Senator Moody in the primary.
