Hit & Run Driver Leaves Orlando Teens Badly Injured

Troopers are searching for the driver of a Pontiac Grand Am vehicle that struck and badly injured two young boys on Valencia College Lane near Bella Vista Way, on Wednesday, around 6:35 am.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the Pontiac Grand Am was heading eastbound on Valencia College Lane in Orange County, when for an unknown reason it veered onto the shoulder and struck Anthony Rodriguez, 15, and Miguel Rodriguez, nearly 16 years, who were walking on the southbound shoulder of Valencia College Lane.  The driver fled the scene.

Troopers said it is believed that the hit and run driver is in an early 2000s model white Pontiac Grand AM and there is damage to the right, front bumper area. Part of the bumper will be missing.

Anthony and Miguel and were taken to the Arnold Palmer Hospital with critical and serious injuries, respectively.

The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
