If someone were to tell me Tony Parker would finish game three with just six points, I’d be positive the Spurs would lose that game. Good thing I don’t gamble.
Tuesday night Danny Green led San Antonio to a 113-77 win over the Miami Heat with 27 points.
Green shot 7 for 9 from beyond the arc.
His 16 3’s made in the first two NBA Finals games the most in NBA history.
“I give credit to my teammates, they gave me a lot of confidence,” Green said.
With the win, the Spurs have taken a (2-1) series lead. Since the 2-3-2 format, the team that wins game three wins that series 93% of the time.
Gary Neal also chipped in from deep, Neal finished with 24 points while shooting 60% from three.
“I was in a zone, it felt great. I’m just glad we got the win,” Neal said.
What’s crazy is, San Antonio’s big three, Parker, Manu and Duncan combined for only 25 points. There lowest out put during this year’s Finals.
Wade led the Heat with 16 points while LeBron added 15.
The reigning MVP is MIA; James has seemed passive and at times pedestrian.
Last night James shot 2-14 from outside the paint. It was as if the Spurs dared LeBron to shoot the jumper.
“I put this on me, I have to play better,” James said post game.
While this series is far from over, Miami has some adjustments to make.
Spurs guard Tony Parker underwent an MRI on his hamstring today. The results showed a sprained hamstring, he’s status is questionable.
Game four is tomorrow, tip off set for 9pm.
