The Rev. Emmett C. Burns Jr., a politically influential black minister, held an event Sunday at his Rising Sun Baptist Church in Baltimore, Md., to publicly withdraw support from Obama over his same-sex marriage support, CNN reported. “I love the president, but I cannot support what he has done,” Burns was quoted as saying at the church. 1. It a shame that a man who says he is called by God to preach His word. If you believe the bible is God’s word but you will sell your Christian birth right for someone will fill your stomach then you are an Esau. Shame on you. You honor God with your mouth but your heart belongs to this world. Don’t lie to yourself because you can’t lie to God.

  4. The Reverend Emmett Burns has every right to his political beliefs.
But the irony is that he is also a politician and in his capacity of office holder he is doing so much to stifle freedom.

He has gone as far as trying to prevent a Ravens football player to exercise his First Amendment Rights because he supports Marriage Equality.

government should not be in the business of limiting freedom.
