Do you remember as kid when you had a disagreement with a friend then you’d quickly forgive them and be friends again? Now, when you have a disagreement with a friend or loved one, you may choose to fight back or not speak to them again. The bible says “If someone slaps you on your cheek, turn to him the other also.” Luke 6:29.
You may ask “How do I forgive?” or “Why should I forgive?” Forgiveness is a choice. You don’t have to know how to forgive; you just have to be willing to do it. “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Luke 23:34.
Forgiveness frees us from anger, pain, and depression. Let go of the wrong doing for your own piece of mind. Every time you think about how someone did you wrong, you stay stuck in the past. The person who hurt you has moved on and is living their life, so why aren’t you? You can’t go back in time. Tomorrow isn’t promised. The only moment you have is now. Forgive. Take it one day at a time and say “I am choosing to forgive the person who hurt me and ready to move on with my life.” Forgive. It’s free and unlocks new opportunities.

Very good article Diomi. Forgiveness is a major issue that has many people in bondage. No doubt it is a decision and let me add that it is also a process. We decide we will forgive and then we go through the process of experiencing God’s healing.
Diomi, it was great talking to you last night. And youI have echoed many of my feeling about forgiveness. Here areto some ofof what weI discussed: This is oh so true, not forgiving someone only destroys you. Lack of forgiveness is a weight on the heart that just tares you appart inside out. When you start to forgive it allows you to heal and move forward, its medicine for the soul. Just think about, Jesus forgave the ones who crucified, mocksed, beat, spit, denied and even more. If u look up, “Forgive” with your internet Bible you will find many scripture of resons for forgiveness.
