The Florida Legislative Black Caucus (FLBC) is leading the charge with a series of events to build awareness of the upcoming 2010 Census, by targeting areas that had low participation during the 2000 Census.
Dubbed the Census Awareness Day, on Wednesday, January 27th, some 26 members of the FLBC will host in their districts, various events at which pertinent information will be shared.
All are invited to participate and communities would have an opportunity to meet local and national celebrities at the various events.
Today, the FLBC would hold a a formal press briefing to announce Census Awareness Day, at the Capitol Building in the Rotunda, in Tallahassee.
