The Bengel’s Burgers Five Guys Burgers & Fries franchise recently received the 2011 Employer of the Year Award from the Employment Network of Central Florida. The organization is made up of companies working to help improve the quality of life for people with disabilities and was created by the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (ADP) for all people with disabilities.
Five Guys Burgers & Fries is one of those companies and employs 35 disabled men and women throughout its 16 Central Florida locations. Five Guys also participates each year in Disability Mentoring Day activities and this past year, hosted 100 people at its various locations who were looking for jobs.
“Five Guys Burgers & Fries constantly goes above and beyond to help meet the needs of our disabled community,” said Agency for Persons with Disabilities Employment Coordinator Maryjane Wysocki. “We are so fortunate to have their caring and concerned staff working with us and supporting our mission of helping people who are disabled find jobs.”
