Dr. Phillips Juniors Alizee Michaud and Sarah Baron continued to dominate their opponents with straight set victories in lines one and two, respectively, to earn individual District Championships. Michaud dispatched her opponent from Ocoee in line one while Baron swept through line two with a victory over Olympia. The two also paired up in line one doubles to capture the District Championship. Michaud automatically advances to the State Tournament, and she’ll join Baron there for doubles as well. As a team, the Panthers tied for first place with Olympia with 17 points and the two teams will meet this afternoon (weather permitting) to determine the outright champion. No matter the outcome, however, both teams will advance to next week’s Regional Tournament.
