Two women were killed Sunday morning when the vehicle in which they were traveling overturned on Dodd Road near Kinsley Place in Seminole County.
Troopers said, Christine Matthews, 48, of San Antonio, Texas, was traveling southbound on Dodd Road when she failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and traveled over the raised median.
The front of the 2008 Ford Mustang Matthews was driving struck a Volvo heading northbound on Dodd Road.
The Mustang overturned upon impact and Patricia Cronk, 67, of Winter Springs, a passenger in the vehicle was killed on the spot.
Matthews was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries.
Both Matthews and Cronk were wearing seat-belts at the time of the crash, troopers said.
Kimberly Pisarski, 46, of Orlando, the driver of the Volvo was not injured.
Toxicology results are being awaited to determine whether or not alcohol played a role in the crash, which remains under investigation.
The crash occurred around 9:30 a.m., on Sunday.
