Le Bron James - Miami Heat
Le Bron James – Miami Heat

For the second straight year LeBron James won an NBA Championship and Finals MVP.

James finished with 37 points while leading the Heat to a 95-88 win over the San Antonio Spurs in game 7 last night.

It’s funny what a couple missed free throws and a Ray Allen three pointer can do to your legacy.

“I wasn’t thinking about anything but getting another win,” James said.

The four-time MVP was seconds away from ridicule, instead he’s being showered with compliments of greatness.

Dwayne Wade added a third ring to his collection.

Wade dropped 23 points while showing flashes of his 2006 self.

For the Spurs it will always be the “what if” feeling.

“It’s tough, being so close, doesn’t making it easier,” Tim Duncan said.

This was Duncan’s first loss in four NBA Finals appearances.

After blowing a five point lead with 26 seconds left in game 6, the misery continued in game 7.

Trailing by two points with less then a minute left, Duncan, known to most as the greatest power forward of All-Time missed the easiest and most crucial shot of his career.

“I just missed, it was a point blank miss,” he said.

With a smaller Shane Battier on him Duncan caught the ball on the low block, turned to score and just missed.

With Miami winning back-to-back titles the question now is, what can they do to get prepared to win three in a row?

There are reports that the Heat are prepared to sign former number one overall pick Greg Oden in the weeks to come.

Either way James, Wade and Bosh have gotten off to a good start to winning not one, not two not three….
