Police are investigating an early morning homicide after a man inside a residence shot and killed another man unlawfully entering the Central Florida home.
Around 4:19am, Tampa Police responded to a residence on the 13-hundred block of South Bermuda Blvd in the Palmetto Beach Community for a reported burglary.
An adult male in the residence reported an individual unlawfully entered the home through the window and he shot the man after a confrontation.
When officers arrived on scene, they located an adult male in his early 40’s suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased.
The shooter remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.
According to local law enforcement, there is no threat to the public.
