Ron and Roy Pettaway Shot from Behind by Fulton County GA Police! One Killed.
Ron and Roy Pettway, Black men in Fulton County, GA, were partying in a bar when an argument broke out over an insult. Five minutes after the argument ended, the Fulton County Police arrived and ordered Ron Pettaway into the street. His brother Roy followed and saw police beating Ron, and he tried to help his brother. But, police shot Ron Pettaway in the back of the head, killng him, and they shot Roy in the back.

I think the whole situation is messed up!! Ron shouldn’t even be where he is right now and Roy shouldn’t have never gotten shot either! They didn’t even have no weapons on them so their was no reason to use those guns!!! Those police officers have mace and they even have sting guns! If they felt the need to use anything they should’ave used that instead of using deadly force against them! Ron had too much going for his self and his life ended too soon! They need to get all those crook’ed cops off the force instead of waiting until something happens then try to cover the issue up & take up for them! Because (not wishing anything upon nobody’s family) but they’re not going to understand until it happens & it be one of their family members!!! And the Lord will fix it like that just to open their eyes! But i pray that the Pettaway’s will get justice b/c they deserve it! Like i said before Ron was a damn good man & he did not deserve what happened to him! He always worked hard, he NEVER caused any trouble to ANYONE, he was ALWAYS a happy person, he helped anybody he could, and he was CRAZY about his mother(Lord bless her soul)!!! I love you Ron & the family WILL NOT LET THIS REST!!!
MY brother will get justice in this life and in the next. Those murders have caused my family(Pettaway, Fountains,Bookers)and I a life time of pain. Every minute I think about my little brother. I have so many memories of him but they always end with “why is he not here”. Why Why!!!!. How do you justify shooting someone in the back of the head at CLOSE RANGE!!!!. It will be interesting to see what LIE they will come up with. The police report is incomplete!!!. So they have TIME to come up with a LIE. They did not take any witness statements!!!. Then they had a fire truck to wash away the scene!!!. They never notified to next of kin. The reason we know it him…..my DAD seen his blue shoes sticking out of the white sheet. They told my DAD to “LEAVE! Get out of here!!”. AS my dad watch them load RON’s dead body in the examiners car, the fire truck is there washing down the scene. And still at that time they would not tell my Father that Ron was the body on the ground. That is the pain we live with every minute of everyday.
