Seven companies in the Orlando metro area made Inc. magazine’s annual list of the 500 fastest-growing private companies in the United States.
The list is based on each company’s percentage of revenue growth between 2007 and 2010.
Below is a list of the seven local companies, their ranking, type of business, revenues and three-year growth rates:
16: Vertiglo, software company, $8.7 million, 8,648 percent
59: Foreground Security, security company, $9.4 million, 3,544 percent.
113: Intergi Entertainment, advertising & marketing, $6.3 million, 2,383 percent.
183: That! Company, advertising & marketing, $5.9 million, 1,658 percent.
336: Hooah, advertising & marketing, $6 million, 988 percent.
410: Dignitas Technologies, government services, $2.6 million, 834 percent.
431: Millennium Medical, health, $8 million, 802 percent.
Ideeli, a New York-based online shopping site, topped the list, with a three-year growth rate of more than 40,000 percent. San Francisco-based Solazyme and New York-based C2C Outdoor came in second and third with growth rates of 20,424 percent and 17,744 percent, respectively.
Inc. magazine published its first list of fastest growing U.S.-based private companies in 1981, expanding that list to 5,000 this year.
