Deputies have arrested three men who they say were manufacturing K2, a synthetic form of marijuana, at a former donut shop in Dunnellon, Marion County.

Acting on a tip, investigators busted the closed business located at 10155 SW County Road 484, Dunnellon.  The tipster called around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, and informed that three men were loading K2 into a moving truck.

Once at the location, Marion County Sheriff’s deputies and the Unified Drug Enforcement Strike Team, found several bales of synthetic marijuana, as well as scales, empty packages, cases of acetone and more than 11,600 packages of K2.  Several cement mixers used to mix the product were also seized.

Deputies also say, there were several containers containing the finished product waiting to be packaged, as well as unfinished products awaiting mixture.   Investigators estimate the value of the ready-to-sell product to be $500,000.

Fares Rabah, 41, Ahmed Mohsin, 36, and Ahmad Warayat, 27, were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance – synthetic marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
