The Florida Lottery recently announced that Lavoncis Armstrong, of Riverdale, Georgia, claimed a $2 million top prize from the $10 MONOPOLY DOUBLER scratch-off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
Armstrong chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,597,848.00.
The Georgia woman purchased her winning ticket from A P Discount, LLC, located at 2710 South Ridgewood Avenue in South Daytona in Central Florida. The retailer received a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.
The $10 MONOPOLY DOUBLER scratch-off game features more than $176 million in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $2 million. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.51.
Scratch-off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 72 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2022-2023. Additionally, since inception, scratch-off games have awarded more than $61.9 billion in prizes, created 2,103 millionaires, and generated more than $18.95 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
