A Central Florida inmate death is under investigation.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the death investigation after an inmate passed away at a local hospital.
On February 24th at approximately 11:30pm, 59-year-old Jesse Burnett, an inmate incarcerated at Tampa’s Falkenburg Road Jail, was taken to Brandon Regional Hospital for a medical-related event.
After arrival at the hospital, his health declined, and he passed away at approximately 4pm on February 25, 2025.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine his cause of death. Burnett’s next of kin was notified.
The investigation is ongoing, according to local law enforcement.
