A woman who kidnapped and robbed a 72-year-old female at gunpoint is still on the run and deputies would like the public’s help in locating her.
Investigators say, the elderly woman was approached by an unknown black female at the Ross Department store at 7445 West Colonial Drive on January 26 around 2:20 p.m.
The suspect kidnapped the 72-year-old victim and forced her at gunpoint to drive to her bank. The suspect told the victim, if she alerted anyone that she along with people in the bank would the killed. The victim was forced to withdraw all the money from her saving account in cash and give it to the suspect.
Investigators say, the victim was forced to drive back to the department store and ordered to enter the store. After sometime the elderly woman exited the store, but the suspect and cash had vanished.
The suspect is described as a black female, between 40-50 years, about 5’8″ tall and weighing 165-170 pounds. The suspect has brown eyes and black hair. At the time of the kidnapping and armed robbery, she was wearing a white sweat shirt and black dress pants.
