An Orlando woman was arrested early on Thursday, after she confessed to killing her ex-boyfriend and dumping his body off International Drive.

39-year-old Isabel Garcia was booked into the Orange County Jail, charged with second degree murder in the death of her ex-boyfriend, Carlos Vidal, 35.

Vidal’s body was discovered by two tourists on Sunday as they walked near a retention pond close to their hotel, in the 11600 block of International Drive.

According to Garcia’s arrest report, Vidal was found in a “supine position with legs up and feet on the ground with his head, arms and upper torso concealed in two black trash bags.”

Investigators said, initially Garcia denied knowing anything about Vidal’s death, but later confessed to killing him.  She told investigators she got angry after he threatened to take their two children, ages 7 and 10 years and move to Chicago or Mexico.

The Medical Examiner ruled that Vidal sustained a blunt impact to the head leading to fractures to the base and vault of his skull.

Homicide detectives found significant amounts of blood in Garcia’s bedroom and there were attempts to clean up stains with bleach.

A mattress with a large blood stain was also located in a garbage dumpster inside the Casa Del Rey Circle apartment complex off W. Oak Ridge Road, where Garcia purportedly lives.

Garcia was booked into the Orange County Jail and is being held without bond.
