Mayor Dyer will give an overview of the Strengthen Orlando initiative at the National Circle of Friends Power Lunch. The National Circle of Friends Power Lunch is designed to educate and inform urban professionals and African American business owners of economic opportunities in the Central Florida area.

Mayor Dyer will join Alberto Fierro, the new Consul of Mexico in Orlando, for a celebration and ribbon cutting of the Mexican Consulate’s newly-constructed facilities. Consul Fierro will serve an estimated 400,000 Mexicans in Central and North Florida by providing legal assistance, promoting trade and relations with Mexico, improving customer service for Mexican nationals and promoting Mexico’s fine arts.

Mayor Dyer will attend the 19th Annual Florida Film Festival. The 10-day festival is the premier showcase in Central Florida for American independent and international film.

Streets and Stormwater Work-Along
Intersection of South Division Avenue and West Grant Street
Mayor Dyer will work-along with 20 volunteers from the Conrad Yelvington Distributors, Inc. organization to help affix “No Dumping” signs to storm drains along South Division Avenue and West Grant Street. This effort is in conjunction with the City’s Streets and Stormwater Division to help create awareness within the community that these drains carry stormwater runoff directly into our local lakes.

Corporate 5K presented by Insurance Office of America (IOA)

Mayor Dyer will participate in the Corporate 5K presented by Insurance Office of America (IOA). This 3.1 mile walk/run is the largest athletic event in Orlando with more than 12,000 participants. This year’s event will benefit Orlando charities including The Track Shack Foundation, Orlando’s Christian Service Center and the Parramore Kidz Zone.
