What To Do When The Biggest Enemy You Face Is You?

At times we can be our own worst enemies. From sun up to sun down we beat ourselves up with “I’m ugly,” “I’m stupid,” and “I’m fat.”

If we could only hear the way we talk about ourselves to ourselves. Thoughts are powerful. We don’t realize we sabotage our own success. Proverbs 23:7 says. “As A Man Thinks In His Heart, So Is He.”

We attract to us what we repeatedly think about. The words we speak are an expression of our thoughts. Think positive thoughts and watch your life change. Get out of the boxing ring with yourself. Train yourself to accept yourself just the way you are.

Let’s face it, nobody is perfect. Even a diamond has flaws. Flaws make us rare. A set of twins have their own distinct personalities. Your eyes, hair, height, and weight, are unique to you. Each one of us is special in our own way.

We all have a gift we need to share with the world but, how can we share our gift if we’re too busy beating ourselves up emotionally, spiritually, and mentally?

Here are some steps to loving you:

  • Each day look at yourself in the mirror and say “I am the way I am.”
  • Throughout your day hold your head up high and smile.
  • Think happy thoughts.
  • Dream Big. “Yes, I can do anything I set my mind to.” And say it like you mean it.
  • If a bad though enters your mind, quickly dismiss it. Replace it and say, “I am perfect just the way I am.” You may not believe yourself at first but, keep repeating it and soon you will.
