A Central Florida couple was indicted for the murder of a 10-year-old child.
State Attorney Bill Gladson recently announced the grand jury indictment of 37-year-old Kimberly Mills, mother of the victim, and 36-year-old Andre Walker, paramour of Mills.
A grand jury was convened to determine whether there was sufficient evidence to charge both Mills and Walker for their roles in the death of 10-year-old Xavier Williams.
The grand jury returned a true bill of indictment for the following charges against the Lake County couple:
- PRINCIPAL TO MURDER IN THE FIRST DEGREE (FELONY MURDER) 782.04(1)(a)2 and 777.011
- PRINICIPAL TO AGGRAVATED CHILD ABUSE – AGGRAVATED BATTERY 827.03 (1)(A), 827.03(2)(A) and 777.011
- AGGRAVATED CHILD ABUSE – MALICIOUSLY PUNISH 827.03(1)(a), 827.03(2)(a) and 777.011
- PRINCIPAL TO AGGRAVATED CHILD ABUSE – AGGRAVATED BATTERY 827.03(1)(a) and 777.011
- PRINCIPAL TO AGGRAVATED CHILD ABUSE – MALICIOUSLY PUNISH 827.03(1)(a), 827.03(2)(a) and 777.011
Both Mills and Walker were in custody on no-bond status in an area detention facility.
