Two Arrested in Series of Central Florida Armed Robberies

Two individuals were arrested in a series of Central Florida armed robberies.

In conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office assisted in arresting 39-year-old Andres Correa Jr. and his girlfriend, 46-year-old Cassandra Kerr.

The two were connected to multiple armed business robberies that occurred across across Hillsborough County throughout July and August 2025.

During each robbery, Correa Jr. brandished a firearm, threatened employees and customers, and stole an undisclosed amount of money. Detectives determined that Kerr was directly involved in the robberies, serving as the driver who transported Correa Jr. to and from the scenes.

HCSO and ATF assisted the FBI with serving multiple federal search warrants on residences and vehicles. Numerous pieces of evidence from the robberies were recovered, including a firearm.

Correa Jr. and Kerr were federally charged with three counts of 18 USC § 1951 Hobbs Act Robbery.

“These arrests demonstrate the tireless efforts of our detectives and highlight the critical partnerships we share with the FBI and ATF that make these results possible,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Anyone who believes they can terrorize businesses, threaten innocent people, and escape accountability is mistaken. We will find you, we will arrest you, and you will face justice.”

This is an active case, according to local law enforcement.
