Florida Highway Patrol has identified the driver who they say killed two women on Pine Hills Road last week and they have issued a warrant for his arrest.
Troopers are trying to locate Brye Jenkins, 23, who ran a red light killing 53-year-old Veronica Williams and 78-year-old Bessie Anderson. Williams was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash which happened on June 1, around 7:00 p.m., near the intersection of Balboa Road.
Anderson was taken to a local area hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
Jenkins, after crashing into the Toyota Williams was driving, fled the scene of the crash on foot.
Troopers issued a warrant for Jenkins’ arrest Monday. The warrant is for vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a crash involving death.
