A 44-year-old man has been arrested, charged with kidnapping and raping a woman at the Pointe Vista Apartments off Americana Boulevard, Monday.
Vilson H. Tales was booked into the Orange County Jail with no bond.
The victim told Orange County deputies she was walking to her mailbox in the apartment complex around 1:00 p.m., when she was confronted, threatened and attacked by a man, later identified as Tales.
Tales grabbed the victim by her hair, bit her in the face and threatened to kill her, she told investigators. Â He told the victim he had a gun and forcible took her to his apartment where it is believed he raped her. Â The woman was able to escape and seek help.
Tales has been charged with two counts of sexual battery with a deadly weapon and one count of kidnapping.
Deputies say, Tales was arrested for a similar incident in 2010.
