The Avengers

Much was made after game two about the star players for Miami not stepping up; they answered the call in game three.

Chris Bosh hit four of his first five shots and finished the night with 15 points, while shooting 60% from the field.

With the 114-96 win Sunday night, Miami takes a 2-1 series lead.

All five starters for the Heat finished with double figures, led by LeBron James’ 22 points.

“It was a complete team effort,” James said.

The Pacers who won the last two meetings against Miami in Indy by double digits, gave up 30 plus points in two of the four quarters Sunday night.

“We didn’t play well on defense, they got any shot they wanted,” Pacers Paul George said.

Indy had only been giving up 90 points per game these playoffs; Sunday Miami had 70 in the first half.

When you look back at teams that have won the NBA title, they all had one guy during that run who did the unexpected and contributed greatly. For Miami so far it’s been Chris “Birdman” Anderson.

Anderson hasn’t missed a shot in the first three games, going 13 for 13 while the rest of Miami’s bench players are a combined 10 for 49.

Paul George finished with 13 points on 30% shooting for the Pacers.

George is being asked to guard LeBron James while carry the load offensively.

“I’ve got to play much better, they did a great job defending me,” George said.

Game four is Tuesday night in Indiana, tip off set for 8:30pm.
