SunRail, Central Florida’s commuter rail, is currently testing out its train schedule, although changes might still be made, officials said.
Slated to begin picking up paying passengers on May 1, the plan is for trains to arrive at each station every 30 minutes during peak service times when traffic on the roads is typically at its worst, although details are still be worked out. During non-peak periods, trains will operate every 2 hours. Currently, there are plans for train service on the weekends.
SunRail officials said, persons will be able to ride the trains free of charge from April 15-18 and 21-25, with the aim of promoting the May 1 launch date.
