South Florida Man Claims $3 Million Prize from Mega Millions Drawing

The Florida Lottery recently announced that Jose Duran, of West Palm Beach, claimed a $3 million prize from the April 11, 2023, Mega Millions drawing.




The South Florida man’s winning ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers and included the Megaplier option, tripling his winnings.

Choosing the Megaplier paid off big for Duran, turning his five-number match into an even bigger win – turning $3 into $3 million!

Duran purchased his winning MEGA MILLIONS with Megaplier Quick Pick ticket from Supermercados El Bodegon, located at 4704 Forest Hill Boulevard in West Palm Beach. The retailer received a $5,000 bonus commission for selling the winning MEGA MILLIONS ticket.

He claimed his winning prize at the Lottery’s West Palm Beach District Office.

Since joining MEGA MILLIONS in 2013, the game has generated more than $1.21 billion for education and awarded $1.89 billion in prizes to 82 million players. In Florida, Mega Millions has created 149 millionaires, including five jackpot winners.



The Florida Lottery is responsible for contributing more than $46 billion to enhance education and sending more than 983,000 students to college through the Bright Futures Scholarship Program.
