Members of the Orlando Police Department’s Economic Crimes Unit have organized an informational seminar for the public entitled “Seniors Fight Back Against Fraud” on December 7, 2012. This seminar will feature speakers from the Orlando Police Department’s Economic Crimes Unit, Stetson Law’s Elder Consumer Protection Program and Sawyer and Sawyer P.A. There will also be representatives from the Attorney General’s Office, Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Orange County Consumer Fraud and Seniors First at this event, to answer questions from anyone that attends.
This seminar will focus on Consumer Awareness and Resources, Scams and Fraud, Family / Caregiver exploitation and Identity Theft.
This seminar will be held in the ballroom of Mayor William Beardall Senior Center which is located at 800 S. Delaney Avenue Orlando, Florida. There will be space available for 150 people to attend this seminar.
The seminar will be from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The seminar will be free of charge.
