Publix supermarket on Friday issued a voluntary recall for assorted varieties of products that contain ground chuck because it may be adulterated with E. coli.
According to a release on Publix’s website, the voluntary recall is “an expansion of National Beef Packing Company’s voluntary recall of ground beef product at its Dodge City, Kansas production facility.”

These products contain ground chuck and were sold in Publix grocery stores in Florida in the following counties: Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Bay, Leon, Suwannee, Columbia, Alachua, Marion, Putnam, Clay, Volusia, Flagler, St. Johns, Duval and Nassau. The products were also sold in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee.
According to a Publix spokesperson, to date there have been no reported cases of illness.
