A man who shot at a group of six people leaving a downtown Orlando night club during a robbery attempt on August 4, has been arrested one week later, a statement from the Orlando Police Department said.
Akeem C. Codrington, 22 years, was arrested by the Orlando Police Department Fugitive Unit at his home on Moore Street, in Orlando on August 11. A search warrant was executed on his residence and evidence was seized linking Codrington to the crime, police said.
Codrington shot at the group in the vicinity of 390 north Orange Avenue around 3:00 pm on the morning of August 4th. Some in the group were not aware initially that a robbery was in progress, until one of them saw the suspect with a handgun. According to police, one of the group members continued toward his car where he was shot twice through his front vehicle wind shield during the robbery.
The names of the six persons – 3 men and 3 women–of the robbery and attempted homicide are:

- Lesley P. Noyles, 22
- Keith T Jones, 22
- Louis P. correa, 23
- Allyson N. McNab, 26
- Kyrsti Y. Jones, 24
Codrington, the suspect, was booked into the Orange County Jail around 10:30 pm, on Wednesday, August 11th. He faces multiple charges, including:
– Attempted felony murder
– Attempted robbery with a firearm
– Possession of a concealed weapon and with a firearm by a convicted felon
– Aggravated assault with a firearm
– False imprisonment
Codrington is being held without bond.
