The Orange County Sheriff’s Office announced they arrested who they call the Pine Hills Rapist, Nelson Odige, a local man responsible for at least four sexual attacks on women on or near Hiawassee Road between January 1st and February 25th.
After the sexual attacks began, Orlando women were warned to be vigilant and “avoid standing or walking outside alone, especially when it is dark.” What a warning – it’s not safe for women in Orlando to walk outside alone and women should avoid standing. Really should make people want to visit Central Florida and feel safe around town.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said Odige is the confessed rapist who was attacking women at bus stops on Hiawassee Road. Law enforcement is clearly happy to solve this crime case.
But, local police are asking women to come forward if they were victims of a sexual attack. If you or anyone you know has been a victim of Odige, call the Orange County Sheriff’s Office at 407-836-4357.
“Thanks to cooperative victims & dogged detective work, he’s behind bars where he belongs,” OCSO posted.
The sexual attacks from the Pine Hills Rapist happened at Orlando bus stops on Hiawassee Road.
Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings, who was Sheriff previously, and Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer have failed to adequately address crime, violence, guns and drugs locally as these remain as ongoing problems in our Central Florida community.
