City of Orlando District 2 Commissioner Tony Ortiz invites the community to celebrate the opening of the new Dover Shores Community Center Playground on Tuesday, September 18 with an official ribbon cutting ceremony.
The new playground features play equipment for children of all abilities and ages including a clear rock climbing wall, two bays of swings and some of the newest playground gear such as Pogo Pods, Spinners, the X-Wave, a graviton overhead wheel and daisy spinning pods. The new park also provides all new benches, picnic tables and a shade pavilion for visitors.
In addition to the new playground, the Dover Shores Community Center offers a variety of amenities for neighborhood residents including a 9,000 square-foot multi-use gymnasium, fitness center, computer lab, multi-purpose rooms, Olympic size swimming pool, baseball field, racquetball courts, handball courts and tennis courts.
