Boone High Teacher Snags Top Award from Insurance Industry

Boone High School teacher, Bill Daniel, was recently selected as the 2012 InVEST Teacher of the Year.

InVEST is a program which promotes understanding of the insurance industry preparing thousands of students for insurance-related careers annually.

At the high school level, InVEST uses a hands-on curriculum which simulates an insurance agency to prepare students to become more knowledgeable about selecting insurance as well as career preparation.

Great teachers who trail blaze InVEST programs, like Bill Daniel, are the backbone of this wonderful program,” said Heather Minkler, chair of the National InVEST board of directors.

For more than 15 years Daniel has educated students to become aware consumers with strong financial literacy. He is a big hit among students in his many finanial literacy programs.
