Ted the Sea Turtle, voted Orlando’s Most Loved Animal, turned 22 in 2022 and SEA LIFE ORLANDO Aquarium recently held special activities to ‘shell’abrate. As a special surprise, Ted was treated to a tasty enrichment “birthday cake.”
Divers presented a colorful ice block of fish, krill, pellet, fruit and veggies. This type of interactive enrichment is a key part of the animal care team’s duties in order to stimulate and expand on the animals natural behaviors.
