Orlando Science Students Earn Spot in Local Math Competition

15 Orlando Science Middle Schoolers are studying up on their arithmetic and calculations ahead of the MathCounts Central Florida Chapter competition.

It’s a busy time for Orlando Science students as they continue to make their mark on the Central Florida community. The group of middle schoolers secured a spot in the local math competition, highlighting how children on campus are consistently given the tools they need to succeed in STEM.

They earned a spot in the February 8th tournament at Olympia High School, following a campus event in December.

“Let’s give a big round of applause to the students advancing to the next level of competition,” said OSS principal Julie Santos. “We wish each of these talented mathletes the best of luck as they prepare to showcase their skills at the Chapter Round!”

Orlando Science Schools will give Central Florida parents and their students a choice of rigorous science, technology, engineering, math, and reading-focused programs in Orange County.
