More than $20,000 in cash was seized from a traveler in Florida.
The incident happened in Fort Lauderdale in South Florida when an outbound traveler denied having more than $10,000 in currency, according to law enforcement.
Authorities said that while carrying cash is legal, people must report it.
The Customs and Border Protection Miami and Tampa Field Office stated officers in Fort Lauderdale seized the more than $20,000 in unreported cash from the traveler.
