Orlando Man Shoots Wife in the Head

Deputies have arrested a man who they say shot his girlfriend in the head early on Saturday morning.

The shooting happened in the 500 block of Pine Island Drive in Orange County, just after 1:30 a.m.

Investigators arrived at the scene to find Emily Baquerizo, 26, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Baquerizo was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

Meanwhile, Eloy Montanez, 21, was taken into custody at the scene.

Montanez was charged with attempted first degree murder and booked into the Orange County Jail. He is being held without bond.
