Orlando Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost, a Democrat, heard directly from a room filled with constituents ready to discuss the issues most impacting working Floridians and families across Central Florida during an hours-long town hall event.
The event was held at Dr. Phillips High School in southwest Orlando, where Congressman Frost shared an update on his first six months in Congress and answered questions from residents on issues ranging from passport agency delays to education to homeowners insurance.
Frost touted local constituent service numbers including over $200,000 in federal benefits returned to constituents, over 14,000 direct letters responded to, and 500+ events and meetings attended.
“Thank you to the hundreds who joined us for our first general town hall,” said Rep. Maxwell Frost. “It was great to hear directly from the folks I represent about the issues top of mind, and to have the opportunity to discuss how we address what the community is facing head on. Together, we’re going to build a better Central Florida – for all of us.”
The town hall event focused more on local issues rather than the typical party politics of Washington, D.C. where Rep. Frost has had harsh and controversial comments about Republicans, including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, in his short time in Congress.
