Orange County Woman Won $2 Million Playing Scratch-Off Game

The Florida Lottery recently announced that 24-year-old Dominic Valerio, of Orlando, claimed a $2 million top prize from the Triple 777 scratch-off game.




The Orange County woman chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,280,000.00.

The Central Florida winner purchased her winning ticket from Publix, located at 12195 South Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando. The retailer received a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.

She claimed her winning prize at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

The $10 scratch-off game, TRIPLE 777, features over six million winning tickets and offers over $158.8 in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $2 million. There is one top prize of $2,000,000 remaining, according to the Florida Lottery.

With overall odds of 1-in-3.51, players can win up to 15 times, including DOUBLE revealing 77 and TRIPLE uncovering 777.




Scratch-off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024. Additionally, since inception, scratch-off games have awarded more than $63.1 billion in prizes, created 2,175 millionaires, and generated more than $19.24 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).

The Florida Lottery is responsible for contributing more than $47 billion to enhance education and sending more than 983,000 students to college through the Bright Futures Scholarship Program. The Florida Lottery reinvests 99 percent of its revenue into Florida’s economy through prize payouts, commissions to more than 13,600 Lottery retailers, and transfers to education.
