Local firefighters have been going door to door in 65+ communities throughout Orange County to notify residents that they will have the opportunity to be vaccinated from their home. For those who are unable to physically leave their communities or having difficulty scheduling appointments elsewhere, the vaccine will be brought to them. Crews will return to these communities within a few days to provide free vaccinations for anyone 65 and older.
It’s just the latest example of local heroes assisting in ending the global COVID pandemic. Numerous senior living communities will be visited as part of Orange County Fire Rescue’s initiative to help vaccinate the 65+ community.
