Riding along with the president is Governor Charlie Crist and Carol Browner, the White House Advisor on Energy.

As Obama rode along, he was able to observe boom set in Pensacola Bay.

People lined the road side as the Obama’s motorcade passed through Gulf Breeze, some holding up signs.

One sign read, “Kick Tony’s Ass for Us.”  Another sign read, “Thanks for your support, Mr. President.  You still have mine.”

At around 8:55 am, the president arrived at Pensacola beach, where he walked along the walkway accompanied by Gov. Crist.  Both Obama and Crist walked to the waters edge, pointing toward the horizon.   Three boats could be seen out in the water.

Hundreds of people gathered about 200 yards away, many chanting, “Save our Beach.  Save our Beach.”

There were many beaches goers swimming in emerald green water and lying on white sandy beaches.

President Obama will address the county tonight, Tuesday, on the BP oil disaster.

In his address, according to news reports, Obama is expected to speak to: the strategy to cap the leaking well; progress on cleaning up the oil spill; BP claims process and the establishment of a fund, to be financed by the oil giant and independently managed by a third party; re-organization of the Minerals Management Services and reducing the US dependence on oil.
