Endeavour’s lift off was scheduled to make it last night time launch on Sunday, February 7th at 4:39 am.  The next possible launch attempt is Monday, February 8 at 4:13 am, but NASA managers say they will evaluate tomorrow’s weather before making a final decision.

Commander George Zamka, Pilot Terry Virts, Mission Specialists Kathryn Hire, Stephen Robinson, Nicholas Patrick and Robert Behnken were secured in their seats aboard shuttle Endeavour, when the mission was scrubbed at the nine minute mark.

The crew will deliver to the space station a third connecting module, the Italian-built Tranquility node and the seven-windowed cupola, which will be used as a control room for robotics. Three space walks are planned for the mission’s 13-day duration.

Following Endeavour’s lift off there are only 4 shuttle missions left which are expected to be completed by the end of 2010.
