The community officially celebrated the grand opening of the new Orange Technical College East Campus, adjacent to University High School.
Alumni, local and state elected officials, SBM Angie Gallo, Superintendent Dr. Maria Vazquez, and Deputy Superintendent Dr. Mike Armbruster joined together for a ribbon-cutting, refreshments, and tours of the new campus.
This new site will expand career and technical training opportunities for the local community, with a special focus on Information Technology and related fields. The school says this will help students and residents gain the skills they need for today’s workforce.
Orange County government said it is proud to support educational institutions that are building a high-quality talent pipeline for the economy and community.
“This week’s opening of the new Orange Technical College East Campus creates additional opportunities for students to receive career and technical training, equipping them with the skills needed in our modern workplace,” Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said.
