A Florida man, who inadvertently dropped his handgun at Animal Kingdom, was asked to leave the Walt Disney property, for a day.
The misplaced gun was found on Sunday, by a grandmother on a seat of the Dinosaur ride as she exited with her grandson.
The grandmother immediately handed over the firearm to a ride attendant, who in turn gave the weapon to Disney Security. The weapon was later turned over to an off-duty Orange County Sheriff’s turnstile Deputy.
The firearm holder, who returned to retrieve his weapon told investigators he had it in his back pocket and it most likely slipped out during the Dinosaur ride, which was “extremely bumpy.” He also admitted too that he was unaware that guns were not allowed on the rides.
The weapon was a Cobra 380 with a magazine containing 5 hollow point bullets, the Incident Report stated.
The gun owner has a valid Concealed Weapons Permit, the report also stated.
