A man was arrested for sexual misconduct with a Central Florida 15-year-old victim.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested the 22-year-old man for an inappropriate and sexual relationship with the Central Florida 15-year-old victim.
On January 14th, detectives began conducting a criminal investigation involving 22-year-old Maurice Skinner after he engaged in a sexual relationship with a minor.
Through investigative efforts, detectives learned that on January 13th, Skinner and the victim met at the victim’s house and engaged in sexual acts.
Skinner was taken into custody and booked at the Orient Road Jail. Maurice Skinner was facing one charge of Lewd of Lascivious Battery.
“Preying upon an innocent juvenile has no place in our community. This individual’s actions are horrifying,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Our detectives are fully committed to protecting the most vulnerable members of our community, and rest assured, if you harm our children, you will face the full consequences of your actions.”
This is an active investigation, according to local law enforcement.
