Lake Apopka Natural Gas District (LANGD) is expanding its team with the addition of four new staff members, dedicated to helping the District serve its nearly 20,000 customers.  LANGD’s new team members will work in the areas of utility service, customer service and facilities maintenance throughout the District’s member cities.

“We are thrilled to add four new, highly motivated team members who are committed to providing excellent and reliable service,” said Samuel Davis Jr., General Manager and CEO of Lake Apopka Natural Gas District. “Gregory, Jessica, Matthew and Osmond each have extensive experience in their respective fields, and we look forward to having them on the team for many years to come.”

Osmond Charles and Matthew Burnett were added to LANGD’s Utility Service team, bringing expertise in maintenance of the utility’s gas system. Charles and Burnett, who are both Orlando natives, will assist LANGD’s distribution crew with welding, pipe fitting, pipe laying, leak surveying and various other maintenance duties, as needed.  In their new roles, Charles and Burnett will provide direct service to customers and ensure continued reliability.

The District has also expanded its Customer Service team.  Jessica Alicea joined LANGD as its newest Customer Service Representative at the utility’s corporate office in Winter Garden.  With an extensive background in customer service, Alicea will help maintain the District’s commitment to excellent service by assisting customers in-person, over the phone and online.

LANGD also added the role of Facilities Maintenance Technician, an entirely new position created by the District.  Gregory Baker, an Ocoee resident, will serve in the new capacity, which requires general maintenance of LANGD’s buildings and grounds.  In his role, Baker will perform a variety of skilled duties, including electrical work, landscaping and other repair projects.
