A $2.1 billion makeover is in store for I-4, and some of the largest companies in the world are striving to put their stamp on the project and contribute to “a massive reconfiguration” of a 21-mile stretch of the highway.
The four teams are I-4 Mobility Partners, led by the Skanska, the Swedish multinational construction conglomerate; I-4 Development Partners LLC, which includes FCC Construccion S.A., a major Spanish firm; 4wardPartners, which boasts VINCI Concessions, a top international construction company based in the United Kingdom; and Ultimate Mobility Partners, which features Fluor, a Fortune 500 engineering firm with offices in 60 offices on six continents, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
